During the One Day for Iowa fundraising drive, UIRA raised $2,575 for the need-based UIRA Student Scholarship Fund. These funds, added to other donations made throughout the year, allowed the UIRA to provide three $1,000 scholarships to:

• Angelique Akimana, Cedar Rapids, Biology and Pre-Med
• Elizabeth Allen, North Liberty, Criminology, Law, and Justice
• Lin Aung, Ottumwa, Biochemical/Molecular Biology and Pre-Med

In coming years, the UIRA Board of Directors will fund scholarships of $1,500 for two UI students.
