Recent statutes and amendments to the Board of Regents’ rules affecting academic freedom appear to have significant implications for teaching at Iowa’s universities, and the Regents may continue to discuss further changes. In addition, the Board is currently considering whether to sign or reject the “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education” proposed by the Trump administration. Join us in person, or via Zoom for a discussion about the changing landscape in higher education and how it is affecting or will affect academic life.
